With the much welcomed return to Daylight Savings Time on March 9, the Oswego Fire Department reminds all residents as they “spring forward” to check the batteries in both their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
This simple reminder and completed task has proven to be a life saver not only with the early detection of smoke and fire in homes, but the deadly effects of carbon monoxide poisoning otherwise known as the “silent killer.”
Also check on family, friends and neighbors who may not be able to perform this task.
