Staff, Residents Of Bishop’s Commons Giving Back This Holiday Season

OSWEGO, NY – Giving back during the holiday season is something the residents and staff of Bishop’s Commons Assistive Living Residence have been doing for the past few years.

Sponsoring a family is one way that residents, families and staff come together for the cause of helping those in need this holiday season.

Residents have a family this season under the direction of the local Salvation Army, in which they have the opportunity to purchase gifts, clothing, and a variety of items for a family that includes children of all ages.

“Our residents, their families, and our staff look forward to this project each year,” noted Senior Living Coordinator, Julie Chetney. “It is very important to our residents that they continue give back to the community that they were, and still are, an active part of.”

The Residents of Bishop’s Commons play an active role in the family giving project doing everything from the shopping, to the wrapping, and occasionally, even do the delivering.

For more information about these efforts or about Bishop’s Commons, contact Chetney at 349-0799.
