Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Constellation Energy, Shapiro Motors, Inc., and Onondaga Beverage have all signed on as major sponsors for this year’s event.

“We are very grateful that these companies have decided to take a major role in supporting our tournament” said Jane Murphy, executive director of Literacy Volunteers.  “Their support demonstrates their concern for the learners that rely on LVOC programs.”

One in five people in Oswego County have below basic level reading skills.

The goal of LVOC is to provide opportunities for these adults to achieve personal freedom by building basic reading, writing and computer skills for free in a confidential environment.

Bill Carhart, LVOC golf chair, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to gain positive visibility while they help support the vital role literacy plays in improving our workforce and economy.”

The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch, beverages on the course and a chicken dinner following the tournament.

The cost is $75 per person, $300 per team.

In addition, sponsorship opportunities are also available ranging from $100 to $500.

Anyone interested in registering a team or further information on sponsorships may contact the office at 315-342-8839 or [email protected]
