Stocking Up

OSWEGO – For the fourth consecutive year, the Oswego County Health Department organized its Strategic National Stockpile Drill in coordination with local Girl Scouts.

One local troop received 833 cases of Girl Scout cookies for distribution, enough to fill a moving van. Volunteers are pictured loading one of a handful of pallets.

Cases of Girl Scout cookies represented medical supplies that would be distributed in the event of an actual emergency.

Assistance was also provided by employees from other county departments, including Administration, Buildings and Grounds, Central Services, Highway, Sheriff’s Office, Human Resources, Promotion and Tourism, and the health department’s Children with Special Needs, Environmental, Hospice and Preventative divisions.
