Students Miss a Meal for Charity

SUNY Oswego student Elaine Wu, center, Student Association senator-at-large, and Craig Traub, left, director of dining services, present a check for $2,948 to Eric Bresee, director of youth and family services for Oswego County Opportunities. The check represents half of the money Oswego students raised by foregoing a dining hall meal one day spring semester. Another check for $2,948 went to the American Red Cross for its Japan Relief Fund. Many residence hall students at SUNY Oswego voluntarily take part in a Miss-a-Meal charitable fundraiser one evening each semester -- a decades-long tradition at the college.
