ALTMAR, PARISH, WILLIIMSTOWN, NY – APW High School proudly hosted its highly anticipated annual award ceremony recently, recognizing and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of its outstanding students. The event, held in the school’s auditorium, brought together the entire APW community, including students, parents, faculty and distinguished guests.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Principal Jennifer O’Malley, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for the students’ commitment to excellence. O’Malley emphasized the student’s transformation since the start of the school year and encouraged students to continue pursuing their dreams.
Throughout the ceremony, a diverse range of awards were presented to acknowledge various fields of achievement. Academic excellence took center stage, with accolades recognizing top performers in subjects spanning mathematics, science, English, music and more. Students who exhibited exceptional leadership qualities, teamwork and community engagement were also commended for their remarkable contributions, such as the Dollars for Scholars Scholarships.
One of the heartwarming traditions of the event involves community members who attend to personally to distribute scholarships in a loved one’s name, such as the Heather Costello Bartman Scholarship in remembrance of a former APW administrator who lost a battle to cancer.
The award ceremony was a captivating showcase of the exceptional talent, dedication and hard work displayed by the students throughout the academic year.
