OSWEGO, NY — SUNY Oswego has awarded Merit Scholarships to a select group of area students who started at the college in fall 2018.
The college honored more than 850 incoming students with merit scholarships. Outstanding first-year students are offered Presidential Scholarships, Deans’ Scholarships, Merit Awards and, for outstanding students from outside New York state, Destination Oswego scholarships.
The awards are part of about $7 million in merit scholarship money offered at SUNY Oswego. These funds are in addition to approximately $80 million in need-based grants, loans, work-study and scholarship awards that SUNY Oswego students receive annually.
Noah Hardter of Thompson Road in Oswego, criminal justice major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
John J. Owens of State Route 370 in Cato, computer science major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Natalie A. Griffin of State Route 48 in Oswego, (undeclared at this time) major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Brandi N. Maynes of Miner Road in Oswego, business administration major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Austin G. Rienhardt of Cornell Road in Hastings, electrical and computer engineering major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Hailey J. Smith of Phinney Road in Hannibal, zoology major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Cole R. Cotton of Bakeman Street in Fulton, criminal justice major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Brian J. Trombly of Clark Street in Fulton, (undeclared at this time) major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Hailee M. Woods of County Route 4 in Fulton, business administration major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Trent Lunkenheimer of P.O. Box 13 in Cato, adolescence education major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Alison Hibbert of Oconnor Road in Oswego, studio art major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Joshua C. Fillingham of P.O. Box 49 in Martville, adolescence education major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Matthew R. Johnson of South Granby Road in Fulton, (undeclared at this time) major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Mckenna Kuhlmann of West Main Street in Cato, adolescence education major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
McKenzie L. McIntyre of Old State Road in Sterling, (undeclared at this time) major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
Jacob D. Hauser of Niagara Street in Oswego, graphic design major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
William G. Greene of Thompson Road in Oswego, broadcasting and mass communication major, was awarded a Merit Scholarship
