EAST SYRACUSE, NY – Dan White of Syracuse, shown at work at Lowe’s East Syracuse store, recently received a commendation from Lowe’s for good job performance.
“He’s an excellent worker and very dedicated,†said store manager Eric Coons.
White has been working as a loader at Lowe’s for four years, starting at the Cicero store and transferring to the East Syracuse store when it opened in early 2008.
White, who is hard of hearing and uses a hearing aid, got the job with assistance from Aurora of CNY, Inc.
Aurora is the only non-profit that works exclusively with people in Central New York who are deaf, blind, visually impaired or hard of hearing.
It is a United Way agency of Central New York and Oswego and Cayuga counties.
