Tales Of The Harbor Set Friday Night

OSWEGO, NY – The H. Lee White Marine Museum presents “Tales Of The Harbor” tonight (Aug. 20) beginning at 8:45 p.m.

“We will gather at the Museum’s historic Derrick Boat 8 for a night of mysteries, myths and ghost stories. We are pleased to have Jonel Langenfeld-Rial stepping in as our storyteller for the evening. She is an experienced professional and professor of theatre and theatre in education at SUNY Oswego.  She brings a rich history of performance and storytelling experience to our annual tradition.” said Donna Kuhn, museum board president.

Several well-known tales will be told as well as new stories involving actual ship wrecks and disappearances.

A new tale recently revealed to Langenfeld-Rial, will be presented.

The evening will include the story of the Oswego Lighthouse disaster.

The program is proudly sponsored by Wayne’s Drugs, a longtime supporter of the tales program and the marine museum.

Come early to get a good spot. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of mystery and ghost tales.

Gates will be open at 7:45 p.m. Admission is $3/adults and accompanying children under 16 years old are free.

Parking available at Wright’s Landing and on West First and Lake streets.
