Taste of Oswego is a real treat for the taste buds as Oswego area eateries showcase some of their favorite menu items.

Taste of Oswego will be held Sept. 6 from noon to 7 p.m. on East Linear Park in downtown Oswego behind the Best Western Captain’s Quarters Hotel.

“Over 2,000 people attended last year’s Taste of Oswego and enjoyed culinary delights from more than 20 vendors,” said Jennifer Hill, executive director of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. “We are looking forward to an even more successful event this year as Taste of Oswego is something the whole family can enjoy.  In addition to the great food there will be live entertainment with the music all day long, a special Power for Kids tent for the children, and a variety of arts and crafts vendors for those who love to shop.”

WSEN 92.1 FM will be providing the music from noon to 2 p.m. with the Cortini Brothers Jazz Band playing from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

The rocking sounds of Dr. Boogie close the day with an exciting performance from 4:30 – 7 p.m.

The Benefits Consulting Group is sponsoring the entertainment stage.

Always a popular stop for the kids, the Power for Kids Tent is returning to the Taste of Oswego thanks to sponsorship from Constellation, Entergy, Novelis, and NRG.

The Power for Kids Tent will feature a variety of children’s activities including air hops, sno-cones, and much more.

“We’re happy to have the Power for Kids tent available for the children again this year.  It is an excellent attraction that both the children and their parents appreciate,” added Hill.

Official media sponsors for the event include: The Palladium-Times, WSEN 92.1 FM & Oldies 1390 AM, and Oswego County Today.Com

Admission to the Taste of Oswego is free, with the vendors charging a nominal fee for samples.
