OSWEGO, NY – Human Concerns is now accepting applications for the annual distribution of Thanksgiving dinner baskets.
Households of two or more are eligible if they reside in the Oswego City School District.
They can register between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at the food pantry, 85 E. Fourth St.
Applications will be accepted until Nov. 17 and baskets can be picked up on the morning of Nov. 25 for those who have registered.
If you are a client of Human Concerns, you just need to complete the application.
If you are not a client, you will need to provide the following information: proof of residence in the Oswego City School District and identification for all members of the family.
“Thanks to the generosity of the Oswego Firefighters, the Oswego Police Benevolent Association, local growers, hardworking volunteers and the Oswego community, we hope to be able to provide nutritious dinner supplies to all eligible local needy,†said Director Barbara Downs.
“Based on our daily distribution numbers, we see that there is a growing need for assistance here in Oswego, and we are pleased to receive food or monetary contributions at any time. If any groups or individuals would like to sponsor one or more families for the holidays, they should contact us,†she continued.
