OSWEGO, NY – Nearly 200 parents visited the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School to join their children in a Thanksgiving feast.
This is the first time for the celebration and the meal was prepared by Oswego City School District School lunch staff.
On the menu was turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberrries, sweet potatoes, and apple dessert.
Kindergarten student Justin Hudson was totally engrossed in his meal.
Principal Donna Simmons feels this type of event is a great way to build a solid relationship between parents and school which is necessary to assist in student success.
