Oswego City Band Presents ‘A Melodic Journey’ at Breitbeck Park

OSWEGO,NY – The Oswego City Band presents “A Melodic Journey” at Breitbeck Park on Wednesday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m.

The ensemble will be performing a wide variety of styles appropriate for all ages and musical tastes.

American classic melodies like Amazing Grace, the Shaker Melody Tis the Gift to be Simple, Leroy Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday, as well as arrangements of international favorites by Grainger and Shostakovich and arrangement of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.

This year, we will be drawing from the institutional memory of present and former band musicians to present energetic marches and pop tunes programmed by former director and founder “Slim” Gross.
