The Steele Law Firm, P.C. is Awarded Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) Status

Â

The Steele Law Firm, P.C. has recently received official notification from the New York State Department of Economic Development Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development that it is now recognized as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in the State of New York.

The primary purpose of this certificate designating the women-owned business enterprise status to The Steele Law Firm, P.C. is to leverage opportunities provided via diversity programs found primarily with Federal and State agencies. Certification exists because statistics show that women-owned businesses are underrepresented in government and corporate contracting markets.

Clients of The Steele Law Firm, P.C. who participate in diversity programs as well as public bidding contracts also receive a benefit to the WBE certification. Clients may now indicate on applications and bids that their legal counsel is certified WBE to satisfy various contractual diversity requirements.

“We are thrilled on our achievement and being a part of a very special group of female industry leaders” says Kimberly A. Steele, founder of The Steele Law Firm, P.C. “We could not have received this status without the continued support of our community for which we are extremely grateful. On a personal level, I am very proud of my team of support staff, paralegals and attorneys. Without them and their work ethic and incredible dedication to our firm’s mission, this recognition would not be possible.”

The Steele Law Firm, P.C. represents clients in the areas of construction, bonding, and real estate and in commercial law, and in state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration. The Steele Law Firm, P.C. has offices in Oswego, Southampton and in Hackensack, New Jersey.
