The Sun Shines on Volney Game Day

Students at Volney Elementary School go on a treasure hunt during the school’s recent Game Day. Second graders (left to right) Dashual Buxton, Ella Henderson, Jayda Borrow, and Lilly Dumas ditched their sneakers and socks and jumped into a pool of sand to search and remove, using only their feet and toes, one slippery glass marble. Game Day at Volney Elementary School is an annual event and features a variety of fun and challenging activities for students to participate in.

No Game Day at Volney Elementary School would be complete without a potato sack race activity. Hopping his way to the finish line is second grader Rylee Teifke and cheering him on in the background is his teammate Madison Johnson. The annual day of fun took place under sunny skies during the first week of June and featured a variety of other fast paced and challenging games.
