
OSWEGO – Leon Shapiro Motor Sales has joined once again in supporting the 13th annual Literacy Volunteers’ Golf Tournament, set for Monday, August 15th. at the Oswego Country Club in Oswego, by sponsoring a car for the hole-in-one contest.
Leon Shapiro Motor Sales joins the tournament’s major sponsors including: Entergy, Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Eastern Shore Associates Insurance, Constellation Energy, Empower Credit Union, NRG Energy, S.J. Thomas Co., Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Pathfinder Bank, and Fulton Savings Bank.
“We are fortunate to have the support of our local businesses,” said Bill Carhart, LVOC Golf Committee Chair. “Their support allows us to provide adult literacy as a key building block to personal and community success.”
The Captain and Crew tournament is scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy a continental breakfast provided by Dunkin Donuts, use of a cart, 18 holes of golf, beverages on the course provided by Eagle Beverage, chair massages, lunch on the course provided by Canale’s.
There will also be giveaways and prizes for Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive. In addition to all the fun on the course, there will be raffles and a silent auction.
