This Summer Literacy is a “Hole-In-One”

OSWEGO – Leon Shapiro Motor Sales has joined in supporting the 12th annual Literacy Volunteers’ Golf Tournament, set for Monday, August 16th. at the Oswego Country Club in Oswego, by sponsoring a car for the hole-in-one contest.

Leon Shapiro Motor Sales joins the tournament’s major sponsors including: Empower Federal Credit Union, NRG, Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Entergy, Eastern Shore Associates, Constellation Energy, Pathfinder Bank, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Felix Schoeller North America and Fulton Savings Bank.

“We are fortunate to have the support of our local businesses,” said Bill Carhart, LVOC Golf Committee Chair. “Their support allows us to provide adult literacy as a key building block to personal and community success.”

The Captain and Crew tournament is scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy a continental breakfast provided by Dunkin Donuts, use of a cart, 18 holes of golf, beverages on the course, chair massages, lunch on the course provided by Canale’s and Rudy’s Lakeside and a steak dinner following the tournament.

There will also be giveaways and prizes for Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive. In addition to all the fun on the course, there will be raffles and a silent auction.
