OSWEGO, NY – The “Thursday Artists” interactive arts program at Lakeside Artisans continues with workshops through the month of October.
These activities take place during the farmers’ market, from 5 – 7 p.m., at the artists’ co-op and gallery in Canal Commons.
On Oct. 20 Halloween jack-o-lanterns and vines will be the theme of an acrylic painting workshop with Cindy Schmidt, the creator of the “Cranky Cat Collection.”
On Oct. 27 Fire Fly Studio artists, Sandra Dowie and Marcella Slatter, will host a “Bring Your Own Pumpkin” painting workshop.
They will be assisting participants to use acrylic paints to create scary characters on their pumpkins.
The painting workshops are free and open to the public.
Lakeside Artisans is an artists’ co-operative located in Canal Commons at 191 W. First St.
They are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, until 8 p.m. on Thursday during the market and noon to 5 p.m.
on Sunday.
