On September 20, the Volney History Center will host a teaching seminar on headstone rubbings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Volney Town Hall on Route 6, Volney Center.

Carrie Butler and daughters, JoAnn and Peg, will give a presentation on how to read headstone illegible wordings.
Ken Sweet will give a brief history of tombstone carvings and art.
There will be light refreshments.
This event is free and the public is invited.
