Oswego, NY – Michele C. Torbitt has been named Vice President/Electronic Commerce at Pathfinder Bank, according to Melissa A. Miller, Pathfinder Bank Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Torbitt will oversee the Bank’s electronic delivery channels to maximize the customer experience. She will also develop and maintain policies related to electronic banking activities and provide leadership to electronic commerce staff.
“Michele has been a considerable asset to our organization for 27 years,” said Miller. “We are very pleased to acknowledge Michele’s hard work at Pathfinder Bank with her promotion to Vice President of Electronic Commerce.”
Torbitt began her career with Pathfinder Bank in 1982 as a Customer Service Representative; she was promoted to Administrative Clerk in 1991, and Financial Service Representative (FSR) and FSR Supervisor in 1992. In December of 1997 she was promoted to Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operations and in 2001 AVP/Electronic Commerce.
She has also been instrumental in the development of Pathfinder Bank’s Money Smart Program – a financial wellness program that is offered to adults throughout Oswego County. The program, which was established in 2007, provides courses and curriculum specific to financial planning, management, and spending.
Torbitt resides in Oswego with her husband, Jamie, and serves as a board member for “Friends of Oswego Library”; treasurer for Oswego Town Fire District; and is actively involved in other community groups and events. She is also a BAI Graduate of Retail Banking; and Leadership Oswego County Graduate.
