Town of Scriba Planning Board Seeks New Members

SCRIBA, NY – The Town of Scriba Planning Board seeks new members for its 5-member board, according to Dan Kehoe, Chairman of the Town of Scriba Planning Board. Vacancies have recently occurred with the departure of two board members who resigned to pursue other interests.

Anyone interested in applying for the position should send a letter of interest and resume to Kelly Lagoe, Town Supervisor for the Town of Scriba, 42 Creamery Road, Oswego, New York 13126. No prior experience is necessary. Applicants must be residents of the Town of Scriba and 18 years of age or older.

The Town of Scriba Planning Board was created in 1992 and is authorized to review site plans for buildings proposed by commercial and industrial property owners, as well as certain residential uses. Additionally, the Planning Board regulates the installation of mobile homes as well as residential subdivisions and mobile home parks. The Planning Board members are compensated for their service to the Town of Scriba.

Members of the Town of Scriba Planning Board are also members of the newly formed Zoning Review Commission, which has been tasked by the Town Board to review the feasibility of implementing zoning regulations for Scriba.
