Unions Throw Their Support Behind McHugh

Congressman John M. McHugh (R,C,I) today announced that he has secured the endorsement of ten (10) national, state, and local unions in his bid to represent New York’s 23rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives for a ninth term.  As in previous election cycles, Congressman McHugh continues to receive strong support from unions representing residents in Central and Northern New York.

“I am honored to have received the support of so many unions.  These organizations do a tremendous job in representing the interests of hard-working families in Central and Northern New York and the nation,” said Rep. McHugh.  “Whether we are talking about employees’ healthcare, pensions, or wages, I have always fought for the rights of America’s working men and women.  Clearly, they deserve no less.”

Rep. McHugh has demonstrated a strong record of supporting workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain since he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1992.  He has consistently voted to protect the health and safety of working men and women of this nation.
