Open to the public, the luncheon will be held Dec. 10 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Parish Center on West First Street.

For a $5 donation attendees will enjoy a tasty lunch featuring delicious homemade soups from Aunt Mary’s Catering, Canale’s Restaurant and Vona’s Restaurant; salad courtesy of C’s Farms and Davis Brothers, fresh baked rolls from Bosco & Geers; desserts from Cakes Galore and SUNY Oswego Auxiliary Services; and coffee and cookies from Tim Horton’s.

All proceeds from the event, including the table decorations, consisting of Dements spaghetti sauce and pasta, provided by Giovanni Foods and Paul’s Big M, will be donated to food pantries throughout Oswego County.

Mahoney, who is serving as committee chair for the luncheon, is looking forward to a festive holiday event that will provide some much needed help for our area food pantries.

“With the increased demand that our food pantries will be facing this holiday season we are hoping that our holiday luncheon will help them meet that demand,” said Mahoney. “In addition to the $5 donation we are asking attendees to please bring non-perishable food items that we can give to the food pantries as well so that the food pantries can keep their shelves stocked throughout the holidays.”

Mahoney added that the luncheon would also feature live entertainment from the vocal group, Concinnity, who will add a festive atmosphere to the event by performing a number of holiday favorites.
