Title of Workshop or Class: “Copper Enameling 1, 2, 3″  Jacquelyn Pfaff-Pratt     Call 564-6986 to register

Cost : $24non member / $20 member AAO

Description of Workshop or Class:  This class will explore the art of copper enameling. Teacher will demonstration techniques and proper firing procedures for the students and then the students will explore this exciting medium working on their own projects with teacher support.  Copper enameling is fusing glass to a copper support. This art form can also be done with the metals silver and gold.

Material and Supply Needs: Pencil, small notebook, small container and $25 material fee

Additional Information about the Instructor: (for promotion)  Jacquelyn is self taught in the art of copper enameling. She taught herself this technique to enhance her jewelry designs which have been a proven seller. Copper enameling is a fun and addictive (at least to Jackie) way to create art. It is also an ancient art form found in civilizations as early as the Egyptian and Chinese Empires.

Title of Workshop or Class: “Drawing with the Elements of Design”  Jacquelyn Pfaff-Pratt   Call 564-6986 to  register  Cost:  12 hours of instruction = $72non members/$60.members

Description of Workshop or Class:   For six weeks, the artist students will explore different drawing techniques in relationships to the elements of design. EI: Line, we will be working with contour line drawings. Value: shaded detail, Texture: textural drawing, etc. This is an excellent class to brush up your drawing skills and/or begin your love affair with mark making on paper look like something. Instructor firmly believes in drawing is the key to great art.

Material and Supply Needs: Ebony pencil, kneaded easer, gum easer, pencil sharpener, charcoal (stick or pencil/soft), 11″x14” pad of white drawing paper plus some more supplies for the color lesson and pastel paper.

Additional Information about the Instructor: (for promotion)     Jacquelyn is a retired art teacher with 32 years of teaching experience. She is well trained as an artist and firmly believes in drawing as the key to success in art. She uses her knowledge and experiences to enrich her students’ learning experiences in the art of drawing.

Title of Workshop or Class: “Pastels Made Easy”   Jacquelyn Pfaff-Pratt   Call 564-6986 to  register  Cost:  12 hours of instruction = $72non members/$60.members

Description of Workshop or Class:   This class will explore the medium of pastels. Students will learn about the different brands of pastels, papers, techniques and tricks of the medium. Each student will be able to creatively explore the medium with their own images. Everyone will participate in creating their own art.

Material and Supply Needs:   A “GOOD” set of pastels at least a 48 or 72 set, charcoal (stick), Canson Mi Tients paper of a neutral color, drawing board (preferable white), stiff 2″ brush, folding or traveling easel (if you own one), images/photos to paint from, masking or artist’s tape (preferable white)            *** If student has question about good pastels call the teacher****

Jacquelyn is an award winning pastel artist that has shown her work in regional and national shows. She has taken classes from some of the leading pastel artists in the USA. She loves this medium because of the COLORS and the ability to use almost pure color in her art. For her it is exciting to make art that is vibrant today as it will be a hundred years from now.
