Upcoming Training Course For Child Passenger Safety Technician

OSWEGO COUNTY Certified child passenger safety technician instructors from across the county are training people to join their ranks. The four-day course runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Wednesday, Aug. 9 to Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department, 640 Co. Rte. 20, Oswego.

“The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board regularly works with certified child passenger safety technicians to ensure that all children in Oswego County travel safely in the car,” said Aine Foley, coordinator for the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board. “They are very helpful members of our community, and their work makes a great difference in the care of our children.”

The training course covers all aspects of child passenger safety, from determining which car seat is right for each child to car seat installation, and much more. The course fee is $95 and the deadline to sign up is Monday, July 31.
