USA Today Again Names International Taste Festival One Of The Nation’s Best Food Festivals

SYRACUSE, NY – For the second year in a row, USA Today has named Syracuse’s International Taste Festival one of the nation’s best city food festivals.  Public voting for this year’s nominees is underway here through Monday, March 18 at noon. In 2023, the festival finished public voting 8th from among 20 nominees chosen by a panel of the publication’s editors along with experts in the field, alongside festivals in Denver, Dallas, Philadelphia and Buffalo. The festival returns Saturday, April 6 to the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The International Taste Festival specializes in foods and beverages from the many cultures of the world, providing a mix of choices not typically found at festivals and fairs alongside more familiar fare.

“It’s an honor for the festival to be recognized nationally. Our food, our performances and our arts and crafts give everyone a glimpse into the many cultures that make up our beautiful state,” said Stephanie Pestillo, festival organizer.

Admissions for those age 10 and over are just $5 during the special pre-event sale, a 50% discount off the $10 price at the door during the festival. Children under 10 are admitted free and parking on the Fairgrounds is free. Buy discounted admission tickets here.

The day also features a 5K/10K walk/run to benefit David’s Refuge, the East Syracuse-based non-profit which provides rest and support to caregivers of children with special needs. The race is the kickoff event of the festival, starting at 10 a.m. Registration is $40 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K, with an additional five dollars for those participating virtually, at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Syracuse/InternationalTasteFestival5K10K.

The race is presented by Willow Running USA in partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods.
