PARISH – In a heartfelt and emotional tribute, the students and staff at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School honored those who have served their country in the armed forces during a special Veterans’ Day assembly at the school.
Special guests included veterans whose children currently attend the school.

Students sang patriotic songs, performed a Veterans’ Day play and talked about the significance of the holiday.
APW Elementary School Principal Julie Woolson spoke to the students about the sacrifices made by service men and women who have fought to protect the freedoms that we, in the United States, enjoy.
She asked the students to “put that in your heart” and remember those veterans who have served on this special day and every day.
