MEXICO, NY – This spring, Mexico’s own Abbott’s Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do triumphed at Master Kim’s Super Cup Competition.
Of the eighteen Abbott competitors, nine gold medals were achieved, eleven silver medals, and three bronze medals.

One student, advanced brown belt eleven-year-old Kiara Richer, took home the Grand Trophy for winning the gold in all three events of board break, poomse and sparring.
“I’m extremely proud of our student’s performance both on and off the mats at Master Kim’s Competition this year. With so many of our students taking home such high honors, it is a true tribute to all of the hard work and dedication of our Tae Kwon Do family,” said Tom Abbott, owner and lead instructor at Abbott’s Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do.
Abbott’s is a black belt school mentoring students starting at age 5 through adult.
Owner since 2007, Abbott is a fourth degree black belt under Master Sun Kim and Grandmaster Kim.
Abbott’s Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do is one of seven sister schools under Grand Master Kim.
In this family-oriented official Olympic sport, Abbott faithfully incorporates the Tae Kwon Do tenants of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit into all of his lessons while instilling the importance of behaving with honor and respect in all areas of life.
Young students earn character stripes for such things as academic achievements and time spent reading, exhibiting self-discipline of taking initiative at home and at school, and for exhibiting great character being respectful at school and home.
Students grow in self-confidence, while becoming better stewards of their community.
Abbott’s offers both Tae Kwon Do and single session self-defense classes.
