LACONA – The Lacona Farmers’ Market is open every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
It is located on the corner of Harwood Drive and Maple Ave.
Free concerts are part of the market each week. Performances run 5 to 7 p.m.
Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the variety of music.
“Jimmy D and the Jury”
Performing live in Lacona on July 7 at the farmers’ market.
The group “Ginger” was formed in the summer of 1998 bringing together Jim Dillabough from Oswego on bass; Angelo Vescio from Fulton on guitar; and Ginger Bieganowski from Phoenix on drums.
With the theme “Spice up your rock and roll,” they have played in many of the local bars and clubs. In the past few years, their concentration has been in private clubs, lodges, and parties and enjoy playing at weddings as well.
They have also played many benefits throughout Central New York. St. Luke’s and Michaud’s Nursing Homes have been two of their favorites – playing at each a couple of times each year.
In the fall of 2008, Ginger took a hiatus for two years. During that time its name changed to “Jimmy D and the Jury.”
“Jimmy D and the Jury” specializes in rock ’n roll, country and easy listening with all tunes being danceable.
They have been playing for 17 years all total around Oswego County and the outlining areas.
Catch them if you can. You’ll be surprised at what you hear.
