During a recent assembly, nearly 40 Volney Elementary School students were lauded for serving as role models and exhibiting positive behavior in the classroom.

Betsy Conners, the executive director of Instruction and Assessment for the Fulton City School District, congratulated the students for portraying the monthly virtue of self-control.
She also recognized students who didn’t earn the monthly distinction as role models but still offered support and words of encouragement to those who took home the honor.
“That makes me so proud that you are taking time to congratulate your neighbors,” Conners said. “That is so fantastic!”
After offering some words of praise, Conners announced the honorees and handed out certificates of recognition to the students.

The monthly classroom role model awards went to the following students:
Treyvin Munger, Declan Nickerson, Hannah Wells, Ethan Clark, Treydon Arcadi, Saige Conger, Carter Zimmerman, Hayden Bogart, Ceara Johnson, Patience Ingerson, Abbigail Gist, Maria Wood, Shayla Sykes, Travis Mazzaroppi, Tesa Galvin, Alicia Collette, Brandon Grow, Marcus Shepard and Hannah Woodard.
The monthly “On-a-Roll” Model awards were presented to:
Travis Furlong, Mason Cook, Collin White, Branden Garner, Ava Greeney, Keshia Currier, Jacob Crandall, Kody Doran, Brody Chace, Damarious Creel, Olivia Ruzekowica, Anna Lund, Evelyn Rupert, Kameron Przychodzen, Zachary Watkins, Sarah Wells, Ethan Frank, Sophia Gomez, Dylan Cooper, Nick Moshier and Abagail Sheffield.
