MINETTO – The Minetto Canal Clean Sweep volunteers met at Minetto Town Hall on Sunday.
They took a group photo in front of a T-shirt wall hanging depicting the first 10 years of their participation in Canal Clean Sweep.

Four of their volunteers were missing from the photo.
Then, they each grabbed a garbage bag and a safety vest to start their clean up.
They cleaned up the Riverview Park, cleared out the town gardens, and cleaned up all of the garbage from Lock 5 along Route 48 to one mile south of town, including the dugout.

This included the garbage along the side of the road and the river’s edge.
They even found a beach ball along the way.
They had fourteen volunteers helping to clean up the canal corridor.
