However, they also provided ten $100 gift cards for use at Wal-Mart in recognition of the appreciation that Wal-Mart has for what teachers do for their students.

Upon hearing the news Minetto Principal Dean Goewey said, “I am very proud of the teaching staff here at Minetto. They are dedicated to the education and well-being of all of our students. I know what these teachers do on a day-to-day basis, but it is an honor when an outside organization such as Wal-Mart recognizes the work that our teaching staff puts forth.”

Continuing he said, “I am grateful for the support that we have always enjoyed from Wal-Mart and other local businesses. This was a great surprise to our teaching staff and the donation of the $1,000 in gift cards will offset the money they spend on students on a regular basis. Once again thank you to Wal-Mart and congratulations to our students.”
