Walk For Autism Set April 24

OSWEGO, NY – The fourth annual “Walk For Autism” is planned for April 24 at Leighton Elementary School and the Wilber Track and Field.

The “Family Fun” event is organized by the Oswego County Autism Task Force (OCATF) in effort to strive toward the mission of enhancing the lives of those touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder in Oswego County.

This year’s event will include arts and crafts areas, Air Hop Inflatables, balloon art, face painting, dancing and music, an information area, refreshments, a relaxation area for parents and caregivers and a toddler play area.

Activities planned will take place inside the Leighton gym while the organized walk takes place on the Wilber track.

The activities will run from noon to 2 p.m.

Sponsors for the event include, Oswego County ARC, Pemberton Associates/Pinnacle Preschool, Little Lukes Childcare and the Oswego County Health Department.

The “Walk for Autism” is free and open to the public, however registration is recommended.

T-shirts for the walk can be purchased in advance.
