OSWEGO, NY – Plans are under way for Wellhouse Ministries’s first dinner and silent auction, scheduled for June 9 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, corner of West Fifth and Bridge streets.
The event will feature a silent auction and 10-piece chicken wing dinner, celery, blue cheese, and salad.
Cold beverages and dessert table will be available.
Dinners are $10 each.
“The planning committee has been busy contacting area business and gathering items for the auction. A number of exceptional items have already been donated from supportive and caring businesses and individuals.” said Kateri Spinella, co-founder of Wellhouse Ministries. “We anticipate having a wide assortment of items for our auction and are gladly accepting donations from anyone interested in supporting our auction fundraiser.”
A silent auction will take place from 7 – 8 p.m., following the chicken wing dinner.
Some of the items already available for auction include four complimentary Disney Park Hopper One Day Passes*, Uncle Sam Boat Tours Cruise for two, NYS Fair admission tickets, gift cards to local retailers and restaurants and much more.
Friends and family members of Wellhouse Ministries have donated gift baskets and clothing items from Lu LaRoe.
Wellhouse Ministries, Inc., is a not-for-profit charitable organization founded to help meet the needs of people with terminal illnesses living in Oswego County and their loved ones.
All proceeds from this event will go towards opening a private residential home where people with terminal illnesses who need 24-hour care-giving can stay as they approach end of life.
