OSWEGO, NY – As part of the Novelis 10Kan race events on Sept. 20, a free Oswego Health/Novelis Wellness Expo will also be held at Breitbeck Park.
The wellness expo will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is designed to promote healthy lifestyles and will include free health screenings, as well as wellness activities and products.
At the wellness fair, Oswego Health will offer bone density, blood pressure and body mass index screenings.
Members of the Lake Ontario Chapter of Nurse Practitioners will do diabetes screenings.
Other vendors include Tobacco Free, Reality Check, Oswego County Traffic Safety, Port City Performance, a fitness facility; Port City Chiropractors, Warner Physical Therapy, the Oswego Family YMCA, Kinney Drugs, Donovan Enterprise, which specializes in health and wellness and sports nutrition, and Nationwide Better Health, an area firm that promotes healthy lifestyle habits to individuals and companies.
The Novelis 10kan event will include a 10K run, as well as a 5K run, 5K walk, a 20-mile cycling race and a duathlon that will combine the 20-miles cycling and 10K race events.
In addition, a kids fun run will be held.
There is still time to sign up and same day registration is also available from 7 to 8 a.m.
