YMCA Holds “It’s Easy To Be Green” Day Aug. 22

The Fulton Family YMCA will host an It’s Easy To Be Green Day from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, August 22 at the YMCA located on Route 3.

At the event, area companies and businesses will provide information on how individuals and businesses can make ‘green’ improvements. The afternoon’s guest speaker will be Jim Terrinoni, a marketing strategist who has educated others on sustainability for the past seven years. He is a founding and active board member of GreeningUSA. He is also owner of Line of Design and cSTEWARDS.

Terrinoni’s presentation, which begins at 1 p.m. will outline how to find a balance between environmental respect and business health and growth.

Terrinoni will use the three E’s of sustainability: Environmental, Economic, and Social Equity and bring the Fulton community an enhanced three E’s: Education, empowerment, and Entertainment. He will share what strategies can be used today, and trends for tomorrow, to be leaders of a sustainable community.

Other companies that will have information available at the event include Novelis, Oswego County Soil and Water, Oswego County Environment Management Council, Waste Management, and the C&S Companies, Gosch Electric will provide a display on energy saving products.
