FULTON – Shireen R. Ziaie, a senior Public Relations major with a sequence in Journalism at SUNY Oswego, has joined Chirello Advertising this spring as an intern, it was announced by Steve Chirello, owner.
Ziaie, from Syracuse, will be working on research, writing, and social media for advertising and marketing segments dealing with multiple types of media.
Ziaie will also be working on projects that include video production and web design. Within the aspect of Public Relations, Ziaie will be working on communication tactics and news releases.
At SUNY Oswego, Ziaie is currently a member of Public Relations Student Society of America.
As a member of the organization she works on various public relations projects using different forms of media while also focusing on community relations.
Ziaie is also a member of Oswego State’s equestrian team, in which she has been a western rider for almost two years and has competed in multiple horse shows. Ziaie has also been an active member of Del Sarte, the university’s dance club.
Before joining Chirello Advertising, Ziaie previously completed two other internships.
The first was at Walt Disney World, when she worked for Magic Kingdom on Main Street East USA.

This past summer she interned for The Woods & CO in New York City. The company is best known for their innovation, imagination and relationships, Ziaie said. The Woods & CO is a public relations and marketing firm that serves beauty, health and fitness clients.
Ziaie focused on integrated social media by updating websites and blog posts; she conducted research and helped increase the company’s brand awareness levels. Following completion of her bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego, Ziaie plans to apply for a professional internship at the Walt Disney Company.
