OSWEGO, NY – On Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Sunrise Rotary meeting, Mark Dristy, a consulting engineer, discussed the economic viability of solar and wind power in Oswego.
Mark preformed site reviews to help property owners install either solar or wind power energy sources.
The average electric energy user in Oswego spends $1,600 each year.
Installing solar panels or windmills can reduce the energy we use from the grid, however the cost of installation will take a long time to break even.
He told the Rotarians that wind power will take less time to break even.
Development in wind and solar power will bring the cost of alternative energy down.
