Centerville, Mass. – Oswego State sophomore goaltender Catherine Côté (Val D’Or, Quebec) has been named the ECAC Women’s West Goaltender of the Week for the week ending December 6, 2011.
Côté posted 21 saves, including 10 in the first period, to help the Lakers picked up their second-ever win against Neumann in a 4-1 decision on Friday night. The victory sparked Oswego State to its first-ever series sweep against Neumann this past weekend at the Campus Center Ice Arena. The Lakers (4-4-2 overall, 4-2-2 ECAC West) hold a three-point lead for fourth place in the ECAC West standings, and will play non-conference games against Hamilton on Tuesday and fifth-ranked Amherst on Saturday.
