MINETTO, NY – On Wednesday (July 1), at 7:38 a.m., the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident with injuries on CR 25, about 3/10 mile north of CR 20, in the town of Minetto.
The crash resulted in the arrest of James D Meeker Jr., 19, of 1556 CR 8, Fulton.
He was charged with DWI, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Reckless Driving, Imprudent Speed, Crossing Road Hazard Markings and Failure to Keep Right.
Mr. Meeker is alleged to have driven a 2000 Ford pickup south on wet roadway where he lost control causing the vehicle to cross the center line and hit a utility pole then brush before overturning and coming to rest in the driveway at 824 CR 25.
Mr. Meeker was transported by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse along with three passengers in the vehicle, Leonard R. Arnsted, 19, of Fulton, Austin N. Doyle, 20, of Fulton and Shaleigha M. Jackson, 20, of Fulton.
Mr. Meeker is scheduled to answer the charges on 7/15/15 in the Town of Minetto Court.
