OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Police Department this afternoon announced more drug-related arrests.
On Friday (Dec. 7), the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti- Crime team (ACT) with the assistance of the Special Response Team (SRT), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department and United States Border Patrol executed two drug related search warrants.
At approximately 6:35 a.m., the first search warrant was executed at 459 Bunker Hill Road in the town of Oswego.
As a result of that search warrant execution approximately 1.5 pounds of marihuana was seized.
A resident of that location, 36-year-old Jason W. Knopp, was arrested and charged with the following:
Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 2nd Degree – Class D Felony
At approximately 6:55 a.m., the second search warrant was executed at 59 Ontario St. in the city of Oswego.
As a result of that search warrant execution approximately 7 ounces of marihuana and 28 dosage units of Alprazolam, a controlled substance, were seized.
Three residents were arrested and charged as follows:
Alexandre J. Hosein, 31, – Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Thomas A Hough, 21, – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, with Intent to Sell – Class D Felony and Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Heather L. Reid, 22, – Tampering with Physical Evidence- Class E Felony and Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the 4th degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Reid was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Oswego City Court for January 17.
Knopp, Hough and Hosein were arraigned in Oswego City Court.
Knopp was released on his own recognizance with a return date of January 7 in Oswego Town Court.
Hough was released on his own recognizance with a return date of January 15 in Oswego City Court.
Hosein was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility with no bail. He is due back in Oswego City Court on January 10.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.
