Elliot Ringwald Performs Farewell Recitals

Elliot Ringwald, graduate of Mexico High School, class of 2012, will give two farewell recitals before departing for the University of Oklahoma, where he will continue his pipe organ studies with Dr. John Schwandt.

Elliot has studied pipe organ with Abel Searor for the past four and a half years.

The first recital will take place at the Pulaski Baptist Church, 7 Bridge Street, Pulaski, where Elliot has been the organist and choir director for the past two and a half years.

This recital will begin at 5 p.m. July 15.

The second recital will take place at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 14 Jamar Drive, Fayetteville, where Abel Searor is currently organist/choirmaster.

This recital will begin at 3 p.m. July 22.

The program for both recitals will likely include music of J. S. Bach (Trio Sonata No. 1 in E flat Major, BWV 525), Rachel Laurin (Symphony No. 1, Op. 36, fourth movement, Toccata), Frank Bridge (Adagio in E for organ), Max Reger (Toccata and Fugue from Suite for Organ No. 2, Op. 92), C. M. Widor (Fourth Symphony for Organ, 3rd Movement, Andante Cantabile, and 4th Movement, Scherzo), and J. L. Krebs (Wir glauben all an einen Gott).

Each recital will last approximately one hour, and the audience is invited to stay and meet the artist immediately following the recital when refreshments will be served.

Both recitals are free and open to the public.
