Endocrinologist Arce to Discuss Thyroid Disease At Ask The Doctor Presentation

OSWEGO, NY – The influential thyroid will be the topic of the next Oswego Health Ask The Doctor presentation.

Endocrinologist Francis Clifford Arce, MD, will discuss thyroid disorder management and disease at 6 p.m. November 14 in the JPC conference room of the Oswego Health Services Center, which is adjacent to Oswego Hospital.

“The thyroid gland influences almost all of the metabolic processes in your body, including memory, weight, cholesterol, heart function and bowel functions among others,” Dr Arce said. “I will discuss the myths and truths of thyroid disorder and management and will be sure to leave time in my presentation to answer individual questions.”

Dr. Arce earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Santo Tomas University Hospital in Manila, Philippines.

He completed his residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he was chief resident.

Dr. Arce fulfilled a fellowship at the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, also at Stony Brook.

Dr. Arce is board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine.

He has been on the medical staff of Oswego Hospital since 2003.
