‘Nuncrackers’ Opens This Weekend

OSWEGO, NY – Hark!  Those nutty nuns, the Little Sisters of Hoboken” are busy putting together their first Christmas concert, live on WCON-TV, right here in Oswego!

The Oswego Players are proudly sponsoring the performance on their stage in the Fort Ontario Arts Complex this weekend.

Director Inez Manor Parker, music director Abel Searer and choreographer Laurel Artz have had their hands full rehearsing this zany cast.

Author Daniel Groggin has had great success with his previous three “Nunsense” musicals, thus a holiday show was conceived.

If you have never before visited the basement of Mount Saint Helen’s convent, it might be wise to visit their website, so those who have aren’t one up on you.

Be prepared to be treated to an original ballet based (loosely) on the “Nutcracker,” featuring Sister Mary Leo as the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Unsurprisingly, the bit doesn’t come off exactly as planned.

All-in-all it should make for a grand evening of fun and humor not to be missed.

The live airing of this show will be presented from the Frances Marion Brown stage in the Oswego Arts Center building.

Show dates and times are Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m., with a matinee on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.

All tickets for this musical offering will be $10.

Reservations will be accepted at The Players Box Office (315) 343-5138. missing or outdated ad config
