Each Saturday from 10 am to noon the Art Association of Oswego holds an art workshop for adults and children accompanied by an adult, called “Art with Coffee.” No registration is required but attendance is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. Participants pay a small fee for each workshop.
On May 31, 2025, Diane Pupparo will teach flower arranging using spring and summer artificial flowers. Diane has over 15 years of floral design experience. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own vase, container, or wreath to customize.
Here are a few of the upcoming Art with Coffee workshops. On June 7, 2025, JoAnne Howard will teach Neurographic Art combined with Zentangle technique. On June 14, 2025, Marylynn Jones will teach mandala design drawing. On June 21, 2025, Bill DeMott will teach collage design. On June 28, 2025, Sarah Chapman will teach abstract painting. More detailed descriptions of each Art with Coffee workshop will be available at the AAO website, oswegoarts.org, approximately one week prior to each Saturday workshop. The participation fee covers the cost of all supplies and materials unless the workshop description encourages participants to bring their own items for customization during the workshop. Since this is an art workshop, participants are encouraged to wear art friendly clothes. The AAO is located at 30 Barbara Donahue Drive, across the street from Fort Ontario.
