Billy Price Band to perform at Oswego Harborfest July 26 & 27

OSWEGO – Award-winning soul-blues singer Billy Price (billyprice.com) and his six-piece band will perform on July 26 (8:15 pm) and 27 (5:45 pm) on the East Park/Washington Square stage at this year’s Oswego Harborfest. Billy Price first attracted national attention during his three-year stint recording and touring with guitarist Roy Buchanan in the early 1970s. Price’s album This Time for Real, with the late Chicago soul singer Otis Clay, received a 2016 Blues Music Award (BMA) in the category of best soul blues album. He received BMA nominations in 2019 (Reckoning) and 2020 (Dog Eat Dog) for best soul blues album, and in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024 for best male soul blues artist. He was also nominated in 2024 for a BMA for Instrumentalist – Vocals.
The Billy Price Band, based in Billy’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa., won the Pittsburgh City Paper Reader’s Poll in 2021 and 2022 as the top blues band in the city.
His latest recording, Person of Interest on the Little Village label debuted in May at #11 on the Big Blues Chart and #14 on the Living Blues Magazine Radio Chart. It is currently #4 on the Roots Music Report Soul-Blues Album chart after charting for two weeks at #1.
