Curtain goes up Nov. 7-8 for MHS fall play ‘The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland’

Mexico High School students are hard at work in preparation for the upcoming fall play, The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland. Pictured during a dress rehearsal Monday, students engage in an argument while one of the narrators looks on.

OSWEGO COUNTY – The Mexico High School Drama Club will bring a witty twist to a classic tale with its fall production of “The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland by Kristen Doherty.

Performances will take place Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. both nights in the Avery Skinner Auditorium at Mexico High School.

Tickets are $5 presale or $7 at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, contact Director Cassie Monnat via [email protected].

The show reimagines Lewis Carroll’s well-known story, asking audiences to consider whether Alice was truly the sweet, innocent girl the storybooks made her out to be — or something else entirely. Two narrators battle it out on stage, each offering their own version of the whimsical and topsy-turvy one act tale.
