OSWEGO – Fort Ontario State Historic Site hosts the Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps for a performance on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. The performance takes place on the grounds inside the old stone fort, located at 1 E. Fourth St. in Oswego.
The Plymouth Fife & Drums Corps consists of students dedicated to preserving the art of fifing, drumming and color guard through live performances. The group comes from Plymouth, Michigan and performs at various events, forts and historic sites.
Regular fort admission – $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and students and free for children aged 12 and under – will be charged for the event. The fort is open from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets with them to sit on during the performance.
