Fitzgibbons Agency Donates Major Prizes To OOT Golf Tournament

OSWEGO, NY – John and Tara Fitzgibbons, of the Fitzgibbons Agency, 44 E. Bridge St., announced they would sponsor four major prizes for the Oswego Opera Theater’s first golf tournament, scheduled for Aug. 19 at Tamarack Golf Course (TGC) in Oswego.

The major prizes will be awarded for scoring a hole-in-one on any of the par-3 holes at TGC.

The first major prize is $10,000 for a hole-in-one at hole #17.

The other three major prizes, associated with the remaining par-3 holes, are a Panasonic 32” LCD TV, a set of Nike Victory Red irons and a Visa Gift Card.

In addition to the major prizes being sponsored by the Fitzgibbons Agency, prizes will be awarded for both team and individual accomplishments during the tournament.

All prizes will be awarded during the chicken dinner that will immediately follow the games.

When announcing the donation, John Fitzgibbons said that his family, especially his mother, Joan, has supported Oswego Opera Theater for a very long time.

“For many years, Oswego Opera Theater has been important to our community,” he said. “And, it needs to be so for many more. We are happy to be a part of this event.”

Final registration on the day of the tournament will begin at 8 a.m.

The games will start at 9 a.m.

Men’s teams, women’s teams, mixed and couple’s teams of four persons are encouraged to register their teams by Aug. 8.

Individuals and pairs can also register and they can be assigned to teams by tournament organizers.

Costs are $75 per person, $300 per team, to include 18 holes of golf with a cart, donuts and coffee before the start, a snack “at the turn,” dinner, gifts and prizes.
