OSWEGO – When your TV or Computer screen lights up with the credits for the OP’s Theater Arts Youth Academy’s production of “Do You Read Me,” Ethan Fowler, a student from Hannibal Central Schools will be acting in the role of Doctor # 1. Little did Norm Berlin, Director of the show, know that Ethan’s younger brother, Ben, would be trying out for a part, as well, when auditions were held not long ago.
And now, to everyone’s excitement both brothers have been cast side-by-side when Ben plays the part of Sam in this funny family Zoom comedy.
Each of the students in the cast was recently asked to provide pictures and a brief bio for publicity purposes. Generally what you get is is a Who? What? kind of response. In the case of the Fowler boys, Norm received the following and he just had to share it with all of you.

“Ethan Fowler believes that you shouldn’t ever try to improve on perfection. After taking the stage by storm with his performance in “A Fairy Tale Courtroom”, Ethan is happy that he will not have to worry about standing ovations interrupting his performance during “Do You Read Me.” Ethan actually only has one concern with this production, and that is that his younger brother Benjamin will tarnish the theatrical reputation he has worked so hard to achieve. Ethan believes that his only hope to prevent this, is to once again shine so brightly with his performance that the audience will completely forget his brother was even a part of it at all.

Benjamin Fowler believes that if at first you don’t succeed, try try again. After watching his older brother attempt to act last year in “A Fairy Tale Courtroom” Benjamin now feels he has to make his theatrical debut to try to save the family name. Luckily for Ben he knows that he always is the best at anything he ever does, and knows that acting will be no different. Ben has no doubt that after watching what will surely be an award winning performance, that people will completely forget that Ethan ever graced a stage. Ben would also like to ask all agents to please hold off contacting him until after he graduates Hannibal High School in 2027.”
The two Fowler brothers along with a group of other excited students will be shining brightly on October 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 when their production of “Do You Read Me” comes to the public via video streaming.
